On Christmas Eve, heavy snowfall brings a train to a halt near the village of Hemmersby. Several passengers take shelter in a deserted country house, where the fire has been lit and the table laid for tea – but no one is at home.
Trapped together for Christmas, the passengers are seeking to unravel the secrets of the empty house when a murderer strikes in their midst.
This classic Christmas mystery is republished for the first time since the 1930s, with an introduction by the award-winning crime writer Martin Edwards.

...together with some ornaments of the 2021 Christmas ornament exchange on the way to ???
Repeating from my earlier JE (I read this book 7 years ago - and can't wait to read it again!). For me, this book is like "A Christmas Carol". It is a fun, annual Holiday read. "...the perfect mystery for winter/Weihnachten/Yuletide". 'Mystery in White' was published in 1937....old-fashioned, like an Agatha Christie novel. This is the perfect book to curl up with, cup of tea or hot chocolate in hand and a warm blanket, as snow falls outside your window. Charming & fast-paced". I'm keeping this one for my Xmas library.
