1 journaler for this copy...
I remember reading this story with a beloved goddaughter years ago. She responded very powerfully to it. So when I found this copy at a Goodwill here in Georgia, I snapped it up, thinking it might be a good Christmas gift for a niece. The book has an inscription that should remain: "Horses are said to be the noble creatures of the earth--I hope their beauty will give you joy! Christmas '96." This book was purchased at Borders Books, Store 128. It appears to have been enjoyed by many children. It's a prize! I will see if it is on a wishlist.
Later: This is a beautiful story. Beauty, courage and love are of the heart, not external. This little fable illustrates that. The book is still in print and I will order a copy for my niece for Christmas. I think she will enjoy it. I will release this into the BookCrossing wild for a next reader.
