Mike Gayle is a Brummie and lives not far from me. I like to read local authors so I thought it was about time I read one of his books. This was a very easy and quick read, written in a simple style. I rooted for the two main characters and was quite moved by their stories at times.

This was a great read - emotional and well rounded characters.
2 main parts, each written so differently but so well. I cried in places and went on such a journey with them. I read the whole book in a day. It wasn't difficult to read but really captivated me. A real thank you for sending it to me. I hope it finds another reader soon - it so deserves it.
