I tried to read this but got distracted. I've never had the time to try to read it again, and am not likely to. This is part of my effort to cull my collection of books.
From the back cover:
Notes from Underground portrays a man of heightened awareness, a man who longs for the love he cannot abide. Dostoyevsky probes this tormented soul with astonishing insight, brillianting illuminating the dark maze of the human heart and prefiguring with remarkable clarity the neurotic personality of our own time.

what can I saw about this book. The story is about this man who thinks he is sick, spiteful, unattractive, and can't find love. To me reading this seems like he is just stark going crazy. Poor man.
Liza he thinks he can be with, but mess that up to where can she forgive him? I wonder.
This book is going to some one on a wish list as soon as I get the address :)
