Sometimes love means having to broaden your literary horizons.

Frankie Rose is desperate for love. Or a relationship. Or just a date with a semi-normal person will do.

It’s not that she hasn’t tried. She’s the queen of online dating. But enough is enough. Inspired by her job at The Little Brunswick Street Bookshop, Frankie decides to take fate into her own hands and embarks on the ultimate love experiment.

Her plan? Plant her favourite books on trains inscribed with her contact details in a bid to lure the sophisticated, charming and well-read man of her dreams.

Enter Sunny, and one spontaneous kiss later, Frankie begins to fall for him. But there’s just one problem – Frankie is strictly a classics kind of gal, and Sunny is really into Young Adult. Like really.

A quirky and uplifting love letter to books, friendship and soulmates.

Definitely thumbs up for not only the book, set in my home town of Melbourne, but the initiative of these two Aussie book ninjas, founders of 'books on the rail'.
It is a Melbourne based initiative where books can be left on public transport, for others to enjoy and to continue to share the love by placing it somewhere else. www.booksontherail.com
This is an all round entertaining read, 'specially for Melbournians. I think it is a grand idea to choose a male partner based on his reading taste, makes sense to me...
Full of quirky literary quotes, bookstore banter and all things a little ridiculous; it really is a fun read.

Put in my hands at today's CBD meetup and I can understand why: Melbourne, books and people leaving books around. All sounds very familiar! On Mt TBR it goes.

Well it doesn't happen very often at all but this is a DNF for me I'm afraid. Whilst it was set in Melbourne and it was about books and about releasing books for other people to find, there was too much that just didn't work for me that I had to throw the sponge at page 103. It's off travelling again to hopefully find someone that will appreciate it more!

Mum picked this up in a little street library box in Preston and passed it on to me. A joyful book, I enjoyed it! In the true spirit of the story, I will leave it for another person to enjoy on the 86 tram :)
