About 6-7 chapters in, I got a notepad and went back to the beginning to write down dates and characters. It was very difficult to follow three different time periods in which the characters overlapped. Also, an event that was detailed in one chapter was often re-told by a different character several chapters later. The storyline was intriguing and I read it through to the end but it was more work than I usually put into reading
