I picked this up at a Little Free Library sponsored by my local public library, and it's stamps with their title. It looks like an interesting group of short stories set in Appalachia.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I've just finished this book and I'm not sure what to say. "Enjoy" wouldn't be exactly the word for something so filled with sadness and darkness but it was very well written. Perhaps I'd say captivating, poignant, complex, and tragic.
In any case, although the stories are dark, the title "Burning Bright" connects to the weather for me, as I think of the trite phrase "a bright and sunny day". So I'm sending this on its way for the International Weather Sweepstake. I hope it catches the recipient's fancy.

Recieved today with some used postage stamps and another book. I find the Weather sweepstakes hardest to pick for.
