I can think of very few other Booker Prize winning novels which have been quite as wonderful as this book. I absolutely loved everything about it. The style of prose, the characters, the storylines. I really want everyone to read this one.

Received as part of an excellent birthday parcel, thanks Bookfrogster! I read the first 30 or so pages of this book when it first came out but ran out of time because there were lots of reserves on it at the libary. I've been meaning to pick it back up again so this is an excellent nudge!

I loved these interconnected stories of different people! Plus the writing was incredible, so poetic and strong. I don't usually like Booker prize winners but this was truly superb.
