A lovely book which I enjoyed. This one is no.3 in the Mure series and I have not read the other 2 so I did feel like I was missing out on some information. Hopefully I can read the other 2 at some point :)

Met Björg in person today and what a nice person she turned out to be! Now I also get a chance to send my greetings from Iceland to Poodlesister, who is my favourite London bookcrosser. What a small world!Pic: Christmas shop in Reykjavik.
Finally began reading, although it's not the right season for it. I see pictures when reading... Those different coloured houses along the high street - this picture is from Tobermory, an island west of Scotland. Been there twice, in 1998 and 2017. In 1998 I bought a book from there which made me realize I should write one myself!

"A Russian fishing boat". This was one of the first Russian oligarck's yachts to be confiscated by the shores of Italy at the beginning of the Ukranian war 2022. The picture is from Monaco 2018, where I had a good aim at it..
My first dog was a Siberian husky and huskies are anything but stupid. But they could not be kept loose on an island like Mure, or there would not be a sheep, rabbit or hen alive.
Scones! Much better than the dreadful Christmas fruitcake.

If 17 Russian soldiers popped into an island café in Scotland today, they would hardly get a warm welcome or an invitation to a Christamas party.
So telephone boxes were saved so that people on the Island (in this case Orkney) may have private conversations eye to eye during windy winter days ( oops. The picture went sideways ).
Finished last night. Not my usual read, but I can perhaps read one Christmas book a year... A bit tiring with all the relationship drama, especially towards the end.

I have two criteria for a migraine day book. It must have large font and simple content. This was perfect! Quite entertaining if you like light and romantic.
Flora runs a little café and her friend Lorna is a teacher. Both of them have fallen in love with a handsome, foreign and troubled man. Luckily, not to the same man. The milieu varies. Often it is Flora´s cozy café, sometimes a shabby restaurant, sometimes a school nativity play and Christmas party, sometimes a modern mansion or the cozy open kitchen of a country house. Snowstorm and power outage are of course included.
