Picked this up at a charity shop for 50p because it caught my eye and it also covered a country in the reading around the world challenge.

WOW ... when you see Shappi on the stage doing her stand up you have no idea of what she has gone through and what life has thrown at her and her family. I have house shared with several Iranian Christians, who have had to leave Iran because of their Christian faith and currently we have 2 men at our church who are recent refugees from Iran. I didn't know much either about the recent history of Iran and this book has filled in some of the gaps. Not an easy read, however a good read.
