The death of a ninety year old woman with a heart condition should absolutely not be suspicious. DS Harbinder Kaur certainly sees nothing to concern her in carer Natalka's account of Peggy Smith's death. But when Natalka reveals that Peggy lied about her heart condition and that she had been sure that someone was following her...
And that Peggy Smith had been a 'Murder Consultant' who plotted deaths for authors, and knew more about murder than anyone has any right to...
And when clearing out Peggy's flat ends in Natalka being held at gunpoint by a masked figure...
Well then DS Harbinder Kaur thinks that maybe there is no such thing as an unsuspicious death after all.

I loved this rather improbable tale full of quirky characters and with a denouement I didn't see coming. Well done once again Ms Griffiths.
Mailed to another bookcrosser via the wishlist tag game.
This has arrived safely in Edinburgh! Thanks Tanamo!
I really enjoyed this one as it wasn't exactly cosy but neither was it too "gritty". Just the right combination. I thought both the plot and characters were good. Thanks so much for sharing this one Tanamo! It's on a couple of wishlists, so I hope to get it moving again soon.
And off it goes to Yorkshire-lass as part of the wishlist tag game. Happy reading!
Thank you for tagging me with this, I read the first book in this series earlier this year and really enjoyed it. I'm expecting to love this one too but as usual my TBR pile is massive it may take me a while to get to it :-)
I think this book is even better than the first one in the series, I do hope there will be more books in the series.
This is now on its way to Cross-patch as part of the UK Wishlist Tag Game, hope you enjoy it as much as I did :-)
