This book is an all-time sci-fi classic.
    Dune
is an epic in itself, yet expands as a saga compiled in an amazing series of books (which include a spectacular set of prequels by Brian, Frank's son).
The first book is the best, in my opinion, and it is a masterpiece. Frank Herbert's universe is akin to J.R.R. Tolkein's in breadth, scope, and originality. The best word to describe this book: awesome.
