28.7.2022 I picked up a package full of books from the post office today. Thank you for fulfilling my wish, clericalkender!

Finished. A gripping tale of Mediaeval England (if a bit overwrought and melodramatic). I enjoyed it. Interesting that the name 'Cedric' did not exist until this book was published. I have a friend called Cedric.
Next, I plan to read Tales From Malgudi, by R. K. Narayan.
