As a bird lover who once was a parrot slave, I totally enjoy this book and the flock of birds.
I have visited a parrot sanctuary before, and I have to say, it's most delightful to walk in and be greeted by a sea of bobbing heads and a chorus of "HELLOOO".
I admire the author for what she did. I would for sure burn out after a few birds, but she managed through it all, in addition to her other work and caring for her family! Kudos!!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I planned to put this book into the wild things bookbox, but after sealing the box I noticed this book sitting by the computer. I guess the birds don't care to be travelling with a bunch of dogs and cats. Ah well, I will save it for the next round, I thought.
Then a few days ago I noticed that this book is on iwillrejoice's wishlist, and get a feeling this is where the flock wishes to fly to next.

Received in a box from Iwillrejoice's estate. She is now rejoicing in heaven. I will find a new home for this book.
