Received into my eager arms at the meeting at the Pig Stand on Thursday evening.
I loved this book. I'm a big fan of Kinsey Milhone and so I quickly fell in love with V.I. Warshawski. Such an excellent character. She's a pretty tough chick. I'll be passing this one on to my friend blueampu
This book was a nice detective thriller. It starts out with action and continues to the end. V.I., the heroine, can be annoying at times, but I ended up really liking her spunk at the end. She's a strong woman with dry wit and I admired her character. We need more strong women figures in this world. Her Aunt Elena, on the other hand, starts out annoying and gets more so as the book goes along. You wonder why V.I. feels like she has to take care of her. I guess "family is family" as they say.
I will definitely look for more Peretsky books. This one was entertaining and fun. V.I. is a protagonist in some of her other books and I so enjoy a series.
Will return to chattergirl or release if she wants.
