i picked this from casualreader's bookrelay site mainly because i've read ken follett and liked him before and i thought the title was rather nifty!LOL
but i have found this to a very interesting read and thouhg i seriously doubt that the whole story has anything to do with real history the obvious research that was done into the era it is set in makes this an absorbing read.
i found the way it narrated from person to person through the generations was particulary good.
