I thought this book was great. It's well-written, funny, and just an overall wonderful story. I had avoided everything to do with Harry Potter because of all the hype. But, one of my roommates spoke so highly of the series and the movies that I ended up watching them. Of course, I then had to start reading the books and I'm glad I did. It was nice to see that the movie followed the book pretty well. I'm looking forward to reading Chamber of Secrets and I'll be one of the first on line to see Prisoner of Azkaban.
