This is part of a box set called The Essential Collection from Penguin Fiction. I used to own this, then passed it on to a relative and then in a bizarre twist have got it back in a tombola at my sister-in-law's house during a Cake Break for MS Society! Funny, huh?

The whole box set is available.

I am glad I read this now as it was a lovely little story...although quite wicked really...I can see why it caused a stir.

This will go on to be part of NSSSS pressie for someone special.

Thanks Olliebear! This is a book I would never have chosen for myself - which explains one of the joys of bookcrossing!
Thank you so much for the wonderful bag, my children are extremely jealous. I shall carry the bag, or at least wear the dragon badge, whenever I'm meeting with bookcrossers. (And all the time in between of course.)

What a wonderful little book! (Good for Mt Toobie as well - took me less than a day!)
It's a perfect read for a hot summer's day - the stifling commuter bus magically transformed into a mediterranean beach for me. I was able to congratulate myself on no longer being a terrible teen with all the angst involved, and commiserate with myself on not being a wonderful sophisticate like Anne (until the end of the book that is!)
I think I shall release this book to find a new reader today - it deserves to be shared. And I can release it with an absolutely mammoth book - a Who's Who from 1992 - to do a little experiment: which book (if any) will get journalled first: little or large?!
Thanks Olliebear, you have exquisite taste! (But then I knew that, you crafty thing you) ;0)
