Count Rostov is sentenced to house arrest in the Metropol Hotel in Moscow, where he stays for more than 30 years, working as head waiter. The end of his confinement coincides with my own, as most lockdown restrictions are lifted from tomorrow June 8. A very wise and sympathetic novel with a perfect ending.
I lent this to a friend, she read it twice as she loved it so much, then gave it back to me, a little bit tattier than before.

I love Rittersport chocolate, thank you! I always buy it when I visit Germany & now that I haven't been for a couple of years, I haven't tried these new flavors yet. Yum!This book is already on my BC-shelf but I'm sure I can find it a good home eventually :)
