A very intelligently written account of her ordeal, before during and just after her abduction and imprisonment. Harrowing in places, but very well written and interesting.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Mailed to the winner of the Numerical Sweepstakes. Hope you find it interesting.....
This landed through the letter box today. What a great book for this RABCK sweepstake! I remember this being in the news and am looking forward to reading more about her experiences. Thanks for passing this on to me!
What a journey this poor woman has been on. A harrowing yet well written book. I really agree with her view of society's tendency to create monsters out of abusers rather than see them as fully rounded humans is because then it jeopardises our view of living in a safe world. I remember the stranger danger campaign of the 80s and that anyone can be an abuser irrespective of who they are or what they look like, however, uncomfortable this makes us feel. There are no monsters just people committing hideous crimes. Anyway, off my platform now...
Thanks for this interesting read, not one I would ever have bought myself so appreciated it all the more.
