A different take on 1984, and this "terrible future" seems more familiar than the original. I enjoyed it, but as their isn't that much dialogue, and the drawings are very simple, I felt like I just rushed through it. It's clever though, and I liked it.
It's a bit scattershot, and too literal--a fairly straight rewrite of "1984"--but I love Rall's drawing style. I guess I just think his sense of humour works better in panel cartoons than in a graphic novel.
