The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a historical novel by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows that was published in 2008.[1][2] It was turned into a movie in 2018 featuring Lily James as Juliet Ashton.

The book is set in 1946 and is an epistolary novel, composed of letters written from one character to another.

Finished reading this in one day. I don’t normally get time to read an entire book in a day but the combination of the fact that this was a short book, I had a lot of appointments and waiting around as well as being completely enthralling made it possible.

I know this book has been around for a while and I’ve been aware of it and all it’s praise but I was really surprised about how much I enjoyed it.

This book was made into a movie in 2018 so I’ll be saving it for an upcoming movie sweeps.
