Thank you! I received the book today by post, as a loan, and I am looking forward to read my first Harry Potter.

One day later... I saw the movie before reading the book, and I am positively surprised to see that the movie's plot and characters are very close to the book. It has been some time since I saw the movie so it is difficult to say whether some important details had been omitted. In fact I was expecting it, a thicker book with more stuff than in the movie. But then it is also a book for children who are probably not going to read 300+ pages :-) When you first read a book and then see its movie you may be sorry about missing parts of the plot and chararcters because I would have made the movie too long. But when it is the other way round you can't enjoy only the book, because all the time it makes you think of the movie. You imagine the characters not only based on the book, but also on the movie. Nevertheless it is a fine story.
