This book deals with the life of Jim Jones. James Reston is very even-handed in his analysis of the Rev Jones and his followers. He gives a very detailed description of the People's Temple in the U.S. and then in Jonestown, up to, including, and after the murder/suicides of 913 in 1974. I've always had an interest in cults in general, but this one in particular. I thought the book was well worth the read.
