I found this book in a bag that I got from Squeaky. It is one that I have often contemplated reading. It got set aside for me to read -- in the same spot where I was keeping a book to send to Sweden. At some point, the book for Sweden got moved. One day, in a hurry, I scooped up this book and another one, stuffed them in an envelope, and went to the post office. Only on the way home did I fully process what had felt off in the process and realize that this was not the book I meant to send to Sweden. I alerted elis and she promised to send me the BCID when the book arrived.
Well, I hope the book enjoys Sweden and anywhere else it might travel to. I will read the next copy that comes through my hands. And I will send the original book to Sweden soon.

Thank you so much for sending me this book, 6of8. Sorry it took me forever to journal once you had. I love Kate DiCamillo's books. Very emotional if I recall correctly.
I'll get back when I have read it.

I'm reading this out loud to my son - he is 14 now but still enjoys being read to. We laugh at Winn-Dixie's smiles and sneezes. We talk about things that happens in the book. We wonder what sorrow and sadness tastes like. It is such a great thing reading together - it creates great conversations.
This book will go to Fifna once we are done.

It took us a little longer than I thought. We were unable to read together for some time. But anyway, we had a good time reading it and laughed together at Winn-Dixie's sneezes. The author Kate Dicamillo has written many great books and this is definietly worth the time. Future readers enjoy!
