While most of the science speak flows over my head, at the heart of the story is a young man remembering his talented but unappreciated father, and taking the courage to face his lonely childhood and adulthood. There are some witty, funny moments, like with Phil his boss, but there are passages, moments of realization, that are so brilliant and so luminescent they are breathtakingly beautiful. I just wish I am more a geek so I can understand the plot better.
