RELEASE NOTES:

this is a really intriguing book told from the perspective of a young autustic boy who is trying to solve a mystery: "the curious incident of the (dead) dog in the night-time" (also the title of the book).

it's interesting to view the world through his eyes and other senses, and it's a quick read. some puzzles and riddles included!

i'm taking this to vienna meet-up tonight at gasthaus weidinger in the 4th district.

Journal Entry 5 by dagett from Wien - irgendwo / Vienna - somewhere, Wien Austria on Monday, January 3, 2005
What a strange little book! It is heartbreaking and funny at the same time. Funny to look at people's habits and way of life from a different perspective and heartbreaking to see, how much courage it takes just to live your life, when you have a different disposition.
I'll take it with me to the next meet-up to pass it on.

Got the book at the meet up and took it with me, because I liked the cover and because dagett recommended it. Will try to read it asap and hope that it won't be too sad.

Journal Entry 8 by wingfannynataliewing from Wien Bezirk 08 - Josefstadt, Wien Austria on Thursday, January 20, 2005
It always makes me sad, when I see adults behaving like this, not being able to be gentle with each other and to solve their problems in a civilized manner. But I concede that life with an autistic child must be very stressful and exhausting and so I do not want to judge the parents.

It was an experience to read this queer and sad book and to see everything through the eyes of the child. It's written in easy English and I hope that it will find many more eager readers in the future.
