I bought this trade paperback on clearance a few months ago, but hadn't registered it until now. I'm not a huge fan of historical fiction, but it sounds like it could be interesting.

The plot looked promising and I started reading, enjoying it as far as I read. But other books got in the way and when I tried to get back into the book, I could not get back to rhythm again. so I did not finish the book. I usually read several books at a time and could immerse back into the story where I leave it, but I could not this time. And the book did not transport me to another place and time as a great historical novel would. There are too many other books to read, so I think this one should travel on to meet a new reader.
