This was nice. I like this. I would like to read more these books. I haven't seen them before. Maybe not so many Joanne Flukes books here in Finland.

This was my first Hannah Swensen mystery and I found it quite enjoyable and a typical cozy mystery. I didn't understand that Norman/Mike thing at all. I copied a couple of recipes, but most of them were too sweet or greasy for my taste. Maybe I'll read more Joanna Fluke books in the future.

The cake has arrived to brighten a very grey Monday. I have some Christmas presents I need to read before Santa takes them, but then I hope I can have my cake and eat it,too :) .
Yep, Christmas presents out of the way and I'm finally able to have some carrot cake. I actually had some for Christmas, which was lovely.Delores is telling her daughter about debutantes' dresses when presented at court and I have been watching one such presentation in Downton Abbey just an hour ago - I'm so glad I wasn't part of that tradition although I would not mind a lord and a manor house to call my own...

Finished. I'm hopeless in kitchen, so I jumped over all recipes. Luckily for us, some of our clients are excellent bakers, in the picture you see a cake and a gingerbread clinic with cats and dogs outside.I think I will save this book for the upcoming Birthday Group.

Very cozy and very entertaining. Excellent reading for a migraine day, when your brain just don't work. I quite like Hannah Swensen, even if I'm not a tall a baker.
