Wild Animus

The ubiquitous free BC book... sounds odd but intriguing. More when I've read it!
[26th April] Well, I kind of skimmed through a lot of it. As a story it didn't really speak to me, and it's relatively easy to put Sam/Ransom's whole mad scheme down to the effects of the drugs he takes. I found the poetry/chants excruciating, and the Animus story sections were almost always skipped. I just couldn't get into the whole mindset involved in this book. Incidentally I didn't see him as sexist/misogynistic, as some discussions have put forward, he was just too self-absorbed to consider anyone else, no matter who they were. It just happens that Lindy took the full force of his behaviour. I did enjoy the descriptions of Alaska, though :)
