Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing November meet-up. Minerva101 always picks the best books for her YA book club, so I know this will be a good one.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially its message of tolerance for all religions and beliefs. It's also a simple book about a group of friends trying to help their school and classmates. It's too often I read YA books where there's something crazy going on. I do have one question, though. Why is the image on the cover a burnt piece of toast? Is it a reference to the phenomenon where people see the faces of saints in stuff?
Passing on this book to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing December meet-up.
I brought this home from the December meetup at Cravings Restaurant.
This was a pretty funny read. The importance of belonging. Also how to channel your feelings. His big rampage seemed a bit over the top.
Dropped off on the doorstep of RuReading to start her New Year off nicely.
Thank you for the porch drop of books!
I thought the conversations the teenagers had were too in depth, too much like adults during a therapy session. Is it a generational thing for me? Do teens talk like this today?
Book returned to sing-song.
Nice catching up at the patio visit with rureading and singsong
I enjoyed this book which discussed religion in all its greats and failings.
