Journal Entry 1 by wingMaranlinwing from Burlington, Ontario Canada on Tuesday, November 5, 2019
This book is described as "a novel in ten stories". It is a slice of life in Canada from the 1950's, about one family, told in the voice of the middle child, Trude. I did not find this book all that interesting, although it is relatively short so I kept on reading anyway with a view to seeing where the story was going, and what ultimately happens to Trude and her family. This book is one of Frances Itani's very early novels. I have found her later novels more interesting and particularly liked "Requiem".
