I enjoyed this book, but haven’t had time to write a proper review. After my disappointing experience with The Empire of the Summer Moon (https://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/16095983/ ) I was feeling wary of another tale of western expansion. This one however felt like a balanced attempt to look at these figures from many viewpoints.
