Wow! What an interesting book. Marquez uses magical realism and tells his tale as if it all could have actually happened. While I don't agree with the incest, I think Marquez handled it well, and it really does help with the novel's story. I can see why Marquez earned a Nobel Prize. If all of his work is like this novel, he really is a great writer. Kudos, too, to the translator for doing such a wonderful job with the lanugage.
