EDIT 23 June 22: I have now read the book twice. It took two rounds easily and it is a quick and inspiring read. But I do think that people either like or not Glennon's writing style. I like it and enjoy her energy and rawness through the book. I adore her "work-in-progress" attitude: we do our best to become better. Every morning we start afresh and hope that by nightfall we have done something good or grown or matured or whatever it is that you need for you. She gives hope and trust that we can do hard things. Together.

Though I thought I'll keep this book forever and ever, I'll make it available for new readers. I keep my connection with Glennon's thoughts fresh by listening to her "We can do hard things" podcast every week.

I've been very untrustworthy with this ring. I didn't journal it when I received it and then I promised to journal it within a week and didn't.
I've read it now, because I felt guilty.
Sometimes the story made sense, and I might have done something with it. But then it was a bit too shallow to really get to me.
I wasn't a fan of the specific words, like wild and cheetah. And what annoyed me at the end was this total acceptance of her new partner as a bonusmom of her children (along with having a say in childrearing decisions and becoming the second mom), but then the girlfriend of her ex-husband, becomes someone with whom she seems to have a competition, even once in reality with a running competition with the whole family. I found it a bit hypocrite. She would be wise to ask herself what those feelings are telling her about herself.
Even though I had hoped to get more out of it, I don't think this book will stay in my mind for long.
