I love this book! I'm already partway through, and I just love the way the author really gets inside his character's head and makes his way of thinking so obvious and logical.
Thanks for this :-)

I really do like this book. Christopher explains how his mind works so well that it's all perfectly clear. He really does work in a different way to others. I love the way he proceeds very logically to solve the mystery.
This book is now on its way to Weebly, who wants to join in the discussion with the bookcrossingUK reading group.

Arrived yesterday (or was it the day before ?) so sorry for not journaling sooner - normally I run for the pc to journal books. My defense is my daughter was 5 on monday and I have been de-cluttering since reading that book, so my head has been elsewhere!

Many thanks Loopy - I may read it before May to join in with discussions, or I may just read then read the book group message board to compare my thoughts with others comments.

I can't say this was the best book I have read recently, but I found the description of how Christopher's mind works absolutely fascinating. It gave me a new insight into those sort of mental health problems and autism (I think that is the form of what he had - correct me if I am wrong).

I would recommend this book as it may help people being more understanding of people with the condition. I did feel very sorry for the parents in the book as it all seemed so helpless at time. I don't think I could cope any better than they did.

My hubby read this in a day and really enjoyed it and found it amusing.

It has gone on to Kangaroo today at her request, which was very timely as the Pratchett Portfolio was being packaged up for return to her when the e-mail arrived!

Thanks Weebly!
I hadn't really cottoned on that this is a children's book - will be interesting to read it.

Definitely one which I didn't want to put down when I came to the end.
Hm, was going to try writing a proper summary of my thoughts on it, but on second thoughts have decided to go and read the forum discussion on it first here (may contain spoilers).

Ben (boyfriend) enjoyed it too. (He says he wanted to shout at the parents, but was on the train so stopped himself ;)
