Book III of a trilogy, books I & II being "The Pillars of the Earth" and "World Without End". This trilogy has sold over 38 million copies around the world! That said, I'll be passing this 900-page book along, as I don't think I'll get to it (or stick with it). Someone else should enjoy it, rather than it sitting collecting dust.
