It was a good read but I was a bit irritated with the author seemingly imposing his own political views onto the character of DS Banks. It just felt a little like the author's voice coming out of the DS's mouth.
At the end of this book a further murder has just come to light (committed earlier in the storyline but police not aware) and at this point only the reader knows who the perpetrator is! Great stuff!
