In her final year of training Sue's longed-for duty in the operating theatre turns out to be a terrible disappointment. Now what will she do when she qualifies? And she's just as unsure about her relationship with he good-looking young doctor, Bill Barry. When he proposes to her at the Christmas Eve Ball she turns him down. She needs more time to think. I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first in the series. For some reason, the characters' conversations seemed more dated and the story didn't flow so well for me. However, I'm still looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
