I picked this one from the Mysterious lines bookbox as I liked the sentence. I am rather glad I did. This is not one I would have picked up but The few pages I've read already make me wonder if I would enjot it after all.
I do like these bookboxes that make you think and try something you may never have thought of previously and this one did just that. Thanks mysteriousmummy.

Ok, I admit it, I loved this irreverent and fun view of the world of an eleven year old and his companions plus a few brilliant characters from all over the place.
I should have known from the first sentence that I would like this offering from these two well known writers but I had never come across a book by them both before (and it would seem the only one they did together). Since I mentioned this book to my monthly Book Club I was told that this was dramatised on tv, but I completely missed that.
Do not be put off by the numerous footnotes, they are very relevant to the section and often quite hilarious little pastiches to the story.
I think this should go back into a bookbox and go on the rounds so it can be appreciated by someone else too.
