When I bought the book, I did not realize that these are short stories. I don't particularly like short stories. I did, however, enjoy reading about the dual life between two cultures, especially in the context of Vietnamese-Americans.

This book travelled with me to Lisbon where I read it - on planes and trains, hotel rooms and cafés. I'm not such a big fan of short stories, but I really liked those!

On my first time meeting a fellow bookcrosser I got a bunch of great books to read! Thank you so much ApoloniaX, for the books and for you time!

Short stories are also not my favorite type of book, but these were beautifully writen. The characters we're all so real and complex, even if they only lasted for a few pages. Great read.

This book is travelling close by, as part of the Authors from Unusual Countries Sweeps. I hope you enjoy this and all the books you'll be receiving.

I love short stories, but it's very difficult to find a really great set of them and, again, that was the case with these. I liked some of them quite a lot but not all and I don't think they work all that well together, even if they all have something in common.
Having said that, it was a pleasure to read and enjoy several of the stories and to be able to read a book in just a few sittings once more :)

Really liked these stories! As usual, some were more interesting than others but I can still honestly say that I enjoyed reading all of them. A great find.
