Picked this up at the used bookstore for someone, and later found that they already have a copy.

From the cover -
The Murder by the Yard book group has been going strong for six months, and Megan Clark is eager to celebrate - and increase membership. For fun and publicity, she volunteers her friend, Dr. Ryan Stevens, to lead tours of famous Amarillo murder sites. One of the sites, The Gorman estate, witnessed the strangling of a young bride and the subsequent suicide of her husband. The case was never solved - but one of the Gormans wants to know what really happened and urges the group to reopen the investigation. Megan dives into the research with her usual enthusiasm. But it's soon clear that the killer doesn't take kindly to amateur sleuths - and that Megan, herself, may soon become history...

I'm enjoying reading this series - this is the 3rd book in the Murder by the Yard series.

I always forget until I'm about halfway thru the book that Megan isn't the narrator of the story; Ryan is. Although I think I'm rather enjoying hearing the story from his point-of-view; he's rather more objective at reporting the facts than I think Megan might be, since she does tend to get rather involved in these cases. I'm also enjoying witnessing their changing relationship. Now that I'm halfway into this series, I'm looking forward to more of these (I have 2 more to read, but then according to StopYoureKillingMe.com, there are no more.) But I'm beginning to wonder if the series ends after the relationship of Megan and Ryan is fulfilled - guess I'll just have to finish the ones I have to find out.

I rather enjoyed this mystery. I like how the author ties tidbits from classic mysteries into the "real life" in these stories - wish I had more of a mystery background so I could really enjoy them.

This will probably be wild-released soon.

7/5/07 update - This was wild-released just where My3loshijo found it, on a bench in front of Waynesboro Library, about 11:30. Hope she enjoys the book :)

This was release #20 for the 2007 52 Weeks/52 Towns Challenge.

I also wanted to mention that this book is part of a memorial release for Kamalamalama. This is another book I had to read that was on her wish list, when she passed.

I caught the book walking out of the library and seeing it sitting on a bench. My very first one. Kinda cool to because it is a murder mystery which is what I like to read.
