many many many thanks to stephen-1702 for spotting this on my wish list and just sending it to me! To be read, possibly this weekend as I'm heading to the country for Easter.
Owing to the excessive generosity of bookcrossers I've ended up with two copies of this book in the same week! Am sending this copy onto azureskippy who will read and then release into the wild, she's much better at wild releasing than I am.
Am almost finished reading - a very enjoyable read.

Thanks Wiblick and Stephen-1702! This book is part of the BBC Top 100 from last year which I am slowly reading my way through (with just a few distractions).... one of the few books on the list I know absolutely nothing about, so looking forward to reading it in the near future!
What a beautiful book. I dropped right in and vanished without a ripple.

The descriptions and wordplay were beautiful. I had problems with the plot though, or rather the unveiling of it. The revelations could have been spread a bit more, it seemed like you learnt nothing for ages, then a whole lot in a rush. Perhaps I was just in the wrong mood or had too high expectations. Overall, it will probably hang around in my imagination for a while.
Reserved for FrancisOfAssisi (the saint of small things?)
Given to FrancisOfAssisi at bookcrossingie meeting last night.
Caught at BXie Dublin meet in the Excise Bar, IFSC on Monday 22 August 2005.
