Read the book a while ago, but unfortunately it wasn't as good as 'The Fault In Our Stars'.

Just arrived here with gifts. Thanks a bunch. Can't wait to discover who is the real Margo...
I finished reading it last week. I had a couple of giggles. Some parts are a little long but at the end it's worth it. I just discovered that they made a movie out of this book. I'll probably watch it.
Sent by mail today to the winner of the bookmark sweepstake. I hope you will enjoy it and sorry if it took so long to send it.
Thank you very much Blue_Fairy, your parcel arrived yesterday.
An amazing collection of book marks à gratter (what's the word in English by the way?), a very nice postcard, a great pen ( I like to use black colour ink pens!) and this interesting book are now in Delphi.
I haven't read John Green for a while and this is a book I haven't read but had on my radar... Good choice!

Paper Towns was a story full of cliché and unbelievable characters, a plot over the top and maybe too "American" for me. But I found it easy to read and I liked it more than The Fault in our Stars which dealed with a "heavier" theme and was full of melodrama.
If one doesn't pay much attention to the "philosophical" parts of Paper Towns ( do we really know other people, what is important in this life, how are we connected with them, what is life, what is human etc etc), I found that this book was entertaining. Most of the time it had a decent pace and featured some -mostly nerdy or cheezy, but still... - fun puns. It can be enjoyable as far as one doesn't take it too seriously.
I may be unfair here, but I feel that this author appeals mostly to teenagers or sentimental readers who prefer bittersweet stories and too much drama out of what we, more cynical people, find to be simple situations/plots. Just my opinion.
7/10 judging it as an easy read, suitable when in need to read something light and non-demanding.
Thanks once again Blue_Fairy, real life is a bit crazy right now and this kind of book was exactly what I needed. By the way, inside the book I discovered a beautiful origami heart which I haven't noticed before. Thanks for that too : )

Journal Entry 10 by Delphi_Reader at One Book a Month, A RABCK -- Controlled Releases on Wednesday, December 2, 2020
Thanks, Delphi_Reader. I liked Looking for Alaska by this author so I'm looking forward to trying this one.
I found parts of this a bit silly and frustrating but more believable when I thought about my own sense of humor as a teen & young adult (hard to remember since it's been about 4 decades but I managed). I was more into silly practical jokes than riddles and treasure hunts but there's definitely something similar going on here. Coming of age / young adult fiction can be a bit difficult for me to enjoy sometimes but can also help take me back and help me relate to younger folks. This swung back and forth.
I'm counting this in two reading challenges:
A-Z authors (J)
A-Z titles (P)
