I loved this one. SUper funny and light. Made me laugh and I really enjoyed it.
Book Description from Amazon.com:
To Libby Mason, Mr. Right has always meant Mr. Rich. A twenty seven-year-old publicist, she's barely able to afford her fashionable and fabulous lifestyle and often has to foot the bill for dates with Struggling Writer Nick, a sexy but perpetually strapped-for-cash guy she's dating (no commitments – really). So when Ed, Britain's wealthiest but stodgiest bachelor, enters the picture, her idea of the fairy tale romance is turned on it's head.
Mr. Maybe is the tale of her heartfelt but hilarious deliberation, irresistibly chronicled by bestselling author Jane Green. On one hand, Nick makes up for his low bank-account balance by his performance in the sack, or in the bathtub, as the case may be. But life with him means little more than nightly trips to the bar, a dark and grungy apartment, and plenty of dull political tirades to boot. But those blue eyes, and that tender heart...
On the other hand, there's Ed, whose luxurious house and gargantuan bank account are quite tempting to the starving Libby. But his unsavory mustache and bumbling ways make Libby wonder if the platinum AMEX and unlimited "retail therapy" are worth it. He may have fallen in love with her at first sight, but nothing seems to solve his lackluster performance in the sack – even speed reading The Joy of Sex. When the diamond shopping commences, Libby is forced to realize that the time for "maybe" is up.
Taking romantic comedy to a hip, sparkling new level, Mr. Maybe is a classic tale of what happens to one girl when her heart and her head aren't looking for the same thing. With a laugh and minute and a heroine whose struggles in the dating jungle will remind you of your own, Mr. Maybe is a story that all will leave you smitten.

Received in the mail today. I'll start reading it as soon as I'm finished with the bookring book I'm currently reading.
I read this book all in one night (I'm sick so I have a bit of insomnia). The characters--for the most part--were very likable and I'm very pleased with the choice Libby made in the end. This should be mailed on to Rrrcaron this weekend.

I loved this book. It was just what I needed after reading two some what heavy novels. Libby was a great character, and her flings and romances had me feeling both happy and sad for her. I enjoyed her quest in finding who was the "the one" for her, and discovering which was more important, being loved, or being in love. I recommend this for a fun summer read. Sending this off to casseytara asap!

This came in the mail yesterday! I'm halfway through another book ring that is a heavier subject, so I'm going to go ahead and start this one now rather than wait!
Oh my gosh, I've found a new favorite author! I absolutely loved this book, and I was pretty satisfied with the ending, even though I pretty much saw it coming! I enjoyed following Libby through her trials and watching her grow as a person along the way, but with plenty of humour as well! I wish her brother had been more involved in the story though!
For anyone who's interested, here is a link to Jane Green's website:

This is now on it's way to Raquelsita!

Just arrived today. I have another ring to finish before this one, but hopefully it shouldn't be too long...expecially since classes are almost done for the summer.
I just thought this book was okay. I didn't really like the stream of conscience writing style...it made me feel like Libby was just blabbing on at times. But I eventually got used to it and got into the story a bit. I did think it was pretty predictable, but I definitely laughed at a few parts. Parts of her relationship with Ed really reminded me of my ex boyfriend and it was nice to hear of someone else going through the same thing, even if it was totally fictional!
Overall an enjoyable, easy read, but not my favorite chick lit book.
This will be sent on to the next reader as soon as I get an address.

On it's way to TramGirl in Australia...
Got this book in the post on 15/10. Have just started reading it today so hopefully it shouldn't take to long to get through!!
I quite enjoyed this book, easy chick lit to read, only took me over the weekend to knock it off Mt TBR. Made me laugh, and also I identified in places with Libby!! Single girl looking for laugh - what can I say! I may have to be more like her and drop the list and just go with what feels right...
Anyway this is off to three104 tonight in the post (mypileofbooks asked to be skipped as she just recently read it).

I really enjoyed this book -- it was sweet and funny. There were times I laughed out loud or giggled to myself. I'm pleased with the ending and thought Libby chose wisely. I really can't say more, or comment on the things I want cuz it may spoil it.
Sent out to minabomb in Portugal today. It may take a while, I sent it surface.

at first...it was a little dificult to enter in the story..but then some interesting things started...a gorgeous man appeared and my...oh my....he was the man we all wanted...except for that part of commitment...and bad friends :-)...but in the end, Libby, a little shalow most of the times, finally understood what was important...
so i find the book a good reflection of reality...with a story well developed..and interesting characters...
i'll send the book as soon as possible to fsr44, i already have her address...

Isn't this always the way...no bookrings for eons and two thick bookring books arrive today! I'll do my level best to get this one and the other book read and sent to the next reader on time.
It was a fun, light read, but I found it hard to identify with the main character when it became apparent how shallow she was regarding her pursuit of material goods. I know one shouldn't look too deeply into chick lit, but it did bother me greatly.
Indymomto2 is next, but it looks like she's been inactive. I haven't received a response from Doris as to what to do about that, so I'll PM Indymom and if I don't hear from her I'll PM snikarbor.
