Interesting to see how Coupland's writing is developing yet keeping some of the same elements.
There are multiple narrators, one of them speaking after their own death, and characters interacting through games of imagination (here, based around children's toy animals(, but there's more maturity. The story covers those involved in a Columbine-style high-school massacre, and how it affects the lives of the survivors and their families. It's thoughtful and compassionate.
