2001 Scribner hardcover, with dust jacket. I found this copy some years ago in the former free books box on the porch of Dimond Library.

I can let this go after I read:
1961 Call for the Dead [read 2009]
1962 A Murder of Quality [read 2010]
1963 The Spy Who Came In From the Cold [read 2010]
1965 Bread on the Waters (short story in Playboy) [read 2011]
1968 A Small Town in Germany [read 2011]
1974 Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy [read 2014]
1979 Smiley's People [read 2020]
1983 The Little Drummer Girl [read 2021]
1986 A Perfect Spy [read 2021]
1990 The Secret Pilgrim [read 2019]
1995 Our Game [read 2022]

Edit February 2, 2023: This was good, but I just skimmed to end for time. I generally find this author to be rather dense in style, with lots of complex dialogue, rather than action-oriented plot movement. I currently have this ranked at #5353 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.

Aside from loving shared books, my main passion in life is supporting the human rights work of my good friend, Anni Cyrus. 💖 💖 Her life story of survival as a childhood refugee is astounding, and quite moving!

The Big Tech cabal unfairly shadow-bans and twists a narrative agenda against real freedom truth-tellers like Anni, but please look her up anyway on Google, DuckDuckGo, and YouTube, etc., and make a compassionate judgment. You can also follow her on Facebook and Instagram, among other platforms.
