Picked this parcel up from the post office on my way to the airport for the convention so I am a little late journalling this. I'll be leaving it in the bookring parcel, just letting Rodespringbal it is safely here.

Scientists looking for cures, both for diseases and for the earth. Climate change is at a tipping point, where things could suddenly get much worse, and Charlie is advising a politician while getting frustrated that the politicians don't see the severity of the situation. His wife Anna is at the NSF, working alongside crooked colleague Frank who is playing the system. A group of mysterious Buddhists appear, from a low lying island about to be flooded. I'm afraid this book isn't really for me, for something that it's so critical that people believe and understand this makes it unbelievable - the politics and wrangling seems realistic but other parts don't really work. This is the first of a trilogy, but I don't think I will be reading the others. I hope the next reader enjoys it more, especially as I have friends who love this author.

Taken out of the Weather Bookring, neither of the books were my cup of tea so I chose this on to put on my AVL shelf. Hope to find it a new reader soon.
