This is one of four books I bought from the Martin House Children's Hospice charity shop in Harrogate this morning. I was drawn to it because . . . . well, who wouldn't be drawn to a novel with a Seahorse in its title . . . .

Vanessa accompanies her mother Marion on a visit to Ashagiri, India where she'd lived as a schoolgirl. There they meet a motley collection of travellers and visitors in this beautifully written novel of relationships and memories . . . .
It's good - and I think I'll offer it to my daughter who will be equally impressed with the title and cover art!

To my daughter who BookCrosses as tree-hugger

I'm afraid I'm having to clear out a lot of bookcrossing books unread, which I feel very bad about, but needs must. I don't read much any more, so having hundreds of books on a To Be Read shelf is silly because I know I won't get around to them - they're better off finding new homes where they might get read.

This is now taking a break back in Knaresborough before travelling on . . .

This is one of the books I swapped this afternoon on my first visit to the Saints red telephone box in quite a while. It's currently very well stocked, pleasingly so.
