Ten Days in Summer
5 journalers for this copy...
"Paula Savard clacked up the chipped stairs toward the increasing odour of smoke." is the first line in the book and the only clue for the gift recipient of our wrapped book exchange.
I chose this book because it is a mystery - my favourite - and it is set in Calgary - my city - amid the craziness of Stampede time - yahoo!
It is a fun read, in a city that is very familiar. I hope the person who receives it will enjoy it!

Enjoy your new book!
Got this book a little belatedly from the Christmas wrapped book exchange. The cover is terrible (haha) so good thing the first sentence caught my attention!
Looking forward to the read.

Picked up at a Zoo meet-up of Calgary BookCrossers.
I really enjoyed this Calgary book. It was especially fun to read, as it was set during Stampede week, which was going on as I read it.
(Read as an e-book from the Library.)
Will pass it along at our next local meet-up.

My apologies for not journaling this book until now, but the box of books is still in my Jeep from the meetup, and I finally remembered to bring the new books in.
Oooooo…and they look a lot more interesting than the on that I am struggling to read.
So good to see you all again!

I am so glad that I decided to give up on the book that I was reading and grab this one from the box on my trunk! I really enjoyed “Ten Days in Summer”, it had so many familiar bits to it, that just made me smile. Mike the cop, lives down the road from me in Rundle. I love walking around Tom Campbel Hill, when I was a child, it was part of the Zoo and we used to see the camels grazing there.
Thank you so much for sharing this book, and I hope to read her other book now.

I just received this book back from a friend who had borrowed it.
I better bring it back to our next meetup.
